Every review on Health Verdict follows the same five steps. We publish this process so you can hold us to it.
1. Selection
We pick categories and products by market reality, not by who approaches us: best-seller lists, ad frequency, and reader requests. If a product is heavily advertised to you, it qualifies for testing — that's the point.
2. Acquisition
Products are purchased at retail or from the brand's official store, with our own funds. We do not accept review units, free samples, or early access. Lot numbers are recorded on receipt.
3. Analysis
Depending on the category, analysis includes some or all of: independent third-party laboratory testing (e.g., HPLC-UV, ICP-MS for supplements), full label review against the published clinical literature, dose-per-dollar math at studied doses, and structured in-use testing over a defined period.
4. Ranking
Products are scored on printed criteria announced in each article — typically transparency, verification, clinical dosing, and value. Rankings are finalized before any affiliate or commercial link is added to the article. Commercial considerations have no seat at that table.
5. Publication & corrections
Articles carry their last-update date. Formulas change; when we learn a formulation, price, or availability has materially changed, we update the article or mark it as outdated. Factual errors are corrected in place. If you spot one, tell us — corrections make the work better.
About commissions
Some links on Health Verdict are affiliate links, disclosed at the top of any article that contains them. Commissions fund the product purchases and lab invoices this model requires. They do not — and structurally cannot — change a ranking that is locked before links exist.
A note on medical claims
We report study findings with citations and describe what ingredients are studied for, not what they will do for you. Nothing we publish is medical advice, and supplements are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a physician.
